Third Personal Pronouns in Vietnamese Language: An Interesting Complexity

Abstract

In everyday speech, personal pronouns are significant. Each language has its own system of pronouns, each with a specific usage. For those learning a language from a different culture, this paper presents several challenges. The author of this essay intends to raise awareness among language learners, particularly those working in translation, of the issues that arise when using the third person singular pronoun in Vietnamese as opposed to English
