Abstract

Grammar is one of the greatest sciences in Arabic as proved by our scholars’ interest in it since the beginning of its formation. Although Arabic grammar is based on firm foundations, there different grammatical trends. This is a natural phenomenon in the many languages. This difference is based on the branches: (the cause, the factor, the structure of the word, the syntax, and others) and not on the fixed foundations of Arabic grammar. However, the points of convergence are more than the issues of disagreement. The grammatical orientation is based on geographical differences (Basra and Kufa) due to the issues of analogy and listening, as the Basra school is a school of mind and it adopted analogy, and the school of Kufa is a school of transmission so it relied on listening. The grammatical tendency is a natural showing integrity and correctness, and the difference does not corrupt the grammar making it stronger. The middle Al-Akhfash is a scientific symbol, who mentioned the issues in explanation, commentary, and brevity. This discrepancy natural due to the nature of the Arabic language, and what it bears in the interpretation. In the book (Umdat Al-Hafiz), grammatical issues include grammatical trends, and this research discussed them in Al-Akhfash and Al-Babthuh.
